Matt LeBlanc was born in July 25th, 1967 in Newton, Massachussettes.
After getting a motorbike when he was eight, Matt decided that his life was going to be that of a proffesional racer. Matt's mom put her foot down and made him train to become a carpenter instead. Before become a star, he was so broke that he had to sell furniture to buy food.
He took the advice of a friend to investigate a career in modeling. Matt moved to New York City to persue his modeling career. By 1987 he had obtained parts in international television commercial, and is probably best known in a Levi 501. He also appeared in commercial for Heinz Ketchup where he orders a hot dog, aswell as working for Coca Cola and Doritos.
Matt started formal acting training in 1988, and one year later he earned a starring role in the American television series "TV 101". He relocated to Los Angeles where he has apeared on TV programs such as "Top of the Heap", "Vinnie & Bobby" and in the movie "Anything to Survive". During summer 1996, he starred in the upcoming "Ed" which was directed by Bill Couterie.
Goofy Friends co-star Matt LeBlanc has committed to star in All the Queen's Men, a $15 million indie comedy that begins filming in Europe Aug. 3, Variety reports.
He may not be the first Friend-let to attempt a film career and fail (consider David Schwimmer's shiver-inducing The Pallbearer and Jennifer Aniston's shabby The Object of My Affection), but at least he's smart enough to go with something Joey Tribbiani knows best: humor.
The World War II flick follows a motley crew of British agents led by an American. In disguise, the team must infiltrate a female-run (uh-oh) Enigma factory in Berlin and bring back the decoding device that will end the war.
Stephan Ruzowitsky (Anatomy) will direct from a script by David Schneider and Jeff Stockwell (The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys). Filming will take place in Budapest, Hungary, and Vienna, Austria.
"Matt LeBlanc is a terrific actor with an established audience in the U.S. and tremendous international appeal," said producer Marco Weber.
Not to mention that he's the only reason left to watch Friends.
LeBlanc's feature credits include the man-and-his-chimp comedy Ed and the sci-fi remake Lost in Space. He recently wrapped a role as Lucy Liu's boyfriend in Charlie's Angels and will be seen opposite supermodel Claudia Schiffer in a new music video for Jersey rockers Bon Jovi
