At 15 years old, Shannon has already recorded music in a studio, starred in musicals with more than 80 children competing for speaking roles' and sang for a stadium of over 50,000 people. She is actively involved in the vocal ministry of her local church, St. Thecla, where she sings at masses and weddings. Shannon attended St. Thecla until her 8th grade year and is now a sophomore at Regina High School. At St. Thecla School Shannon was a cast member in the musical production of The Prince Of Egypt where she played the part of young Mariam, She had the great honor of playing the staring roles in Anne and The Sound of Music. Also at St Thecla School, Shannon was a member of the forensics team for 4 years, which focuses on public speaking and acting. In September of 2004 - 2005, Shannon had the privilege of singing The Star Spangled Banner, before a Detroit Tigers baseball game at Comerica Park. She has also sung the National Anthem at the Belle Tire Stadium in Fraser, before a Motor City Mechanics hockey team, and also at the Mount Clemens Grand Prix. In the summer of 2005, she competed in Debbie Allen's Famous Talent Competition in Detroit. In the summer of 2006, she participated in the Miss Junior Teen Michigan Pageant, where she won both the Talent and Miss Personality awards. Throughout the winter of 2006, Shannon made her first Christmas CD. During her Freshman and sophomore years at Regina High School, she has had speaking roles in the plays George M and South Pacific while being a part of her high school's varsity golf team. Along with her singing, Shannon has been taking piano lessons for over 8 years, and has taken dance lessons for 6 years as well. In the future, Shannon hopes to continue singing and performing. It is her dream to become a recording artist, or to continue to be in the productions of musicals and other musical theatre venues.
