Kion was born and raised in Hamilton Bermuda. There he became a local celebrity. He was apart of a group called His and Hers from the age of 14-21. While with His and Hers Kion opened up for such acts like:
-Sounds of Blackness
-Kirk Franklin
-Manhattans
-Stylistics
-TLC
-Silk
-Gerald Levert...just to name few
While with His and Hers Kion was the special guest at the Apollo Theater he was 15yrs old and he took control of the audience and caught the attention of many record companies.

Kion then at the age of 21 decided to go to college to study voice at Thayer Performing Arts in MA. He studied voice under the direction on Ruzelda Severin. Kion studied classical and embraced the technique. Kion was flown to Paris and England where he was receiving standing Ovation for his classical style. Many people referred to him as the Black Pavarotti.

Kion then formed a show band called BlaquePearl which he is still a member of today. While with BlaquePearl Kion returned back to the Apollo and this time took part in the Ameture Night he impressed the audience to the point of having fans asking for autographs after the show. This Show can be seen on TVone.
Kion was also featured as the lead vocalist with the Boston Pops and received rave reviews in the Boston Globe. Kion then was ask to take part in singing BackRound Vocals for Mariah Carey Finale Choir.
